Ok, can somone please tell me what mixing and mastering exactly is? Also, is there a good program out that i can download for free to record and hopfully mix and master? Another thing, wtf is a sound card, were can i get one, whats it for?

You're basically at step 1 lol, so just go on Google and research until your eyes bleed. People go to school or work in studios for years to learn mixing and mastering so it's not something you can pick up overnight.

There are some free recording programs to get you started, just look on Google, something like http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ would work fine.
