I use the “L2″ in Waves mastering software on the final mix of my beats to increase the volume without clipping, should work for vocals too.

Sho-Down what do you use for your Vocals And or tracks/VST effect i just reformatted my PC and need some good/quality one if free? And also how do you mix your Chorus's some people said lay 3 down and pan 1 to 50%left 1 50% right any tips for professional sounding stuff? Thanks!

For vocals I use Autotune and Cool Edit Pro EQ, I take out a lot of the low end of my voice and bring up the highs. I usually record the main hook 3 times…have 1 down the middle, pan 1 hard left, and pan the erd hard right. Then I do my harmonies and just pan them however I feel like it. That's really about it.

I use the EQ built into Cool Edit Pro, it's just a basic Parametric EQ, drops the lows, brings up the highs. I also use Cool Edit Pro for Reverb and Echo.

Waves Gold is good, so is Ozone 4, you could try one of those or just grab a copy of Cool Edit Pro 2
