first ov all use Cool edit pro to mix and edit ur songs
2nd thang is that try different mic positions tor record ur songs, dun be so close cause it will gonna so bassy nd kinda like hums nd hiss gonna kill it all…nd u dun have to place it so far that it might produce an echO
the best mic position in home recordin studio is between 6-9 inches from ur mouth!
try to be loud…bring emotions to ur vocals…if ur recording while listenin to the beat directly, then boost the volume,it will help!
on mixing side…u better go for dynamic processin under 3:1 ratio…dun forget to apply some parametric equalizers to make it more crispy!
while mixing ur vocals..dun just make ur vocals audible..give the beat some space too…its a important thang that u must mix ur songs using ur SPEAKERS…not HEADPHONES
kill the low frequences by 5,nd boost the mid one to atleast 3..!! u can adjust High ones, accordin to ur vocals
hope u'll find this info helpful!
you can contact me personally for any other issues =)
